Mt Lofty Golf Club Junior Development Fund

The Mt Lofty Golf Club Junior Development Committee has established a Junior Development Foundation through the Australian Sporting Foundation to facilitate the collection of donations and other fundraising activities to be used specifically for junior golf development. The Mt Lofty Golf Club Junior Development Fund is a registered project with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) which allows individuals to make unconditional donations to the ASF and claim a tax deduction.

Funds raised will be used to fund a number of junior development programs to promote and enhance the game of golf at both the elite and beginner level at Mt Lofty.  A significant aim of the project is to increase participation at junior level through scholarships and assistance for low income families who cannot afford golf fees and equipment.

The following is a list of some programs that may be funded:

  • Specialist coaching for talent squad members
  • Competition fees and travel expenses for selected members
  • Scholarships for promising golfers

The Junior Development Committee has been formed to manage these activities and has been allocated an annual operating budget to fund approved expenditure. We also hope to raise a considerable amount through fundraising activities, including donations to the ASF and an annual golf event.

We are very grateful for the financial support we have received so far. A number of members have made donations that will be returned to the Club in the form of grants from the ASF. If you wish to make a donation please contact David Wauchope, Rob Boucaut or any member of the Junior Development Committee.
