Handicaping Update

Significant changes to the handicapping system came into effect on Wednesday September 21st

New Manager -  Steve Humble

Steve Mitchell has resigned to pursue other interests. He has been succeeded by Steve Humble.

 

Steve first joined Mt. Lofty Golf Club as a junior in 1978 and became a regular member of our Pennant Teams throughout the 80’s.

 

Steve has recently sold his News agency which he has successfully operated for the past 25 years and brings many attributes to the position, not the least of which is a wealth of experience in Management, Administration and junior coaching at School levels.

 

Steve has recently served on the Committee of Management as Vice-Captain and has a strong desire to see The Mount Lofty Golf Club prosper.

We thank Steve Mitchell for his efforts and wish Steve Humble every success in his new role

Unfortunately we lost 3½ to 11½.  The match was however closer than the scores reflect.  Only 2 matches were a blow out, with all others going most of the way.

Awards

Awards for Excellence

Each year at the AGM the Club recognizes Members who have made an "Outstanding Contribution" to the Club.

The awards are made by the Committee of Management, from nominations from Members.

The Awards take the form of:

·         A Brick Paver inscribed with the name of the  recipient

·         A Citation

·          An Award Certificate

The pavers are placed alongside those already set in the courtyard between the Lily Waite House and the Office. A plaque on the wall of the courtyard describes the Award.
