New Handicapping System

As most Members are aware the first stage of the switch the USGA handicapping system was introduced on Friday 9th April.

Most Members will have seen a change in their handicap.

The first stage involved the abolition of the daily CCR calculation and the introduction of a handicap based on the rolling average of the best 10 rounds of the

previous 20 rounds played.

Other changes will be introduced progressively

Course Development

Tee Sponsorship

We are still looking for more groups to sponsor a tee. The group will initially be responsible for "tidying up" around the tee, but will also be asked to plan ongoing beautification.

If your group can help please contact Dean Clark or David Wauchope.

Bunkers

Maintenance of the bunkers on the course is expensive, difficult and labour intensive due to poor drainage and bunker design. A report commissioned by the  Course Committee recommends a reduction to 10 bunkers (plus the Chipping Green),  with reshaping and drainage improvements. The Course Committee is seeking input from Members

The report is available at the Club. Click Here to download a PDF copy

Club History

Limited copies John Ryan's book on the 80 year history of the Club "Back on the Fairway" are available from the Club. The book is the  culmination of an immense amount of work by John and by Bryan Price who set up and printed the book.

The final product is a book you will be proud to own. Ring the Club on 8339 1805 to order a copy
