Opening Day for Season 2011 - Thursday 24th February

A 9 hole Stableford competition was organised by Vice Captain, Georgina.
There were 26 players, all playing off the newly organised Yellow Tees. This was a "fun" round, as the Yellow Tees will only be used during Pennant matches and Club Championships.

After the golf there was an Opening Day meeting, where President, Judi welcomed the members and past members, who were present.

Judi mentioned that TriGolf Clinics are currently being run by Warren on Mondays with an enrolment of 12. We hope that some of these participants will become regular golfers at Mt. Lofty. Members were thanked for supplying morning tea in the "Blue Wren Cafe" over summer.
Sybil was thanked for supplying flowers throughout the summer in "lily Waite House". A winter Flower Roster was circulated.

Thank you Sybil for the beautiful flowers used today as table decorations.

Captain, Meredith gave her report, thanking members for participating in various interclub team events over summer.
Meredith announced the winners of the three trophy competitions held in the summer season. All three winners had excellent scores, showing that our golf course has been invery good condition all summer, helped by good rainfall and very competent groundsmen. Well done boys.

Grandmother's Trophy was won by Sue with
an incredible score of 46 stableford points.

Ada Rowley trophy was won by Celia, over
two rounds. She had an impressive total of 81pts.

Libby McGregor trophy is the highest aggregate
score over 4 x 9 holes and was won by Mel with 97pts.

Joy, our Handicap Manager gave her report and announced the handicap trophy winner and Eclectic winners.

We welcomed past members, Berne, Joyce, June, Valda, Nita, Grace, Pat, Barb, Betty and Esme who joined us for lunch.

During lunch Jill organised a fashion parade of club shirts, worn by our models Fay, Mel and Joy.
