Funny, I thought!

The 3Rs of Golf.
Reading:
Much careful reading takes place on a golf course. Grass on the green must be read, as must a putt's direction to the hole. The wind has to be read as must the coarseness of the sand in the traps. It is most important, too, to read the guile on your opponent's face when he says he took an 8-iron to hit to the middle of the green and you believe it was surely a 6.

Referee:
Every Club has an average 54 referees. They are found around the bar loudly pontificating on outside agencies and rubs of the green, dogmatically sure of their rulings. It makes a pleasant diversion some time after the game to suggest that the greenkeeper's one-eyed lame dog knows more about the rules - and what's more, the dog can count.

Relief:
Should players require relief through the green they shall proceed unobtrusively to a point that is not in a hazard or on a putting green, preferably behind a tree out of sight of others who might: (choose one only)
a. Be disgusted? b. Get excited? c. Be envious?
