Match
Over recent months the
prospective Pennant players have been preparing for the short 5 match
season with only one home game in the new format. This year's
arrangements are new to all Clubs. One result is that Mt. Lofty is
included in the Simpson Cup. This is an added bonus for the Club,
although it will obviously be a difficult season for the players. The B
Pennant has also been revamped with Mt. Lofty now in a group of six
Clubs, four of which do not have teams in the Simpson Cup, consequently
they will be playing their best teams in the B event, making for a tough
season.

The following events have

offer Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to those not so
successful.

The Sharpen Trophy for
the second year was a tie. For the uninitiated, this is a match
between the under 55's and the over 55's. |

Presidents Trophy
winner, J Samaras. |

John Sandland Trophy
winner, David Wauchope. |

The home leg of the
Mount Shield was a resounding win for Mt. Lofty 9½ to 5½, breaking
a 3 match winning streak by Mount Osmond. We hope to make it two in
a row in the new millennium when the return leg is played at Mount
Osmond in early November. |
